Speaker:Debby Kidd

Debby Kidd, 50, married, mom to two teen boys, whom I homeschool.  I am the administrator for both The Frugal Patriot and Couponer’s Swap, groups on Facebook which help you learn about economizing.  I have 20+ years as an administrative experience in the medical and banking fields and 7+ years as a retail/small business owner. I volunteered for Red Cross during Desert Shield/Storm.  I also ran a church’s consignment sale for 4+ years, taking it from $3k/year to $54k/year in revenue.

My love of coupons started early.  I have been a “clipper” for as long as I can remember - my dad started me early by allowing me to keep a portion of the savings I clipped - it was a good incentive!  Since March 2013, however, I have done it intensely so that we could help a number of families, along with ourselves, and still be able to donate.  Last year our family was able to donate over 300 pounds of items to The Well (and razors don't weigh much!).  I have also been able to donate full-size toiletries for 15 Christmas baskets for the Domestic Violence Shelter and have given away frozen vegetables and salad dressings to the Children's Home – many of these donations only cost me the tax, because of the use of coupons and knowing “when” to buy.

I love conducting classes to teach others the benefits of couponing. All the monies donated and/or raised doing these classes is used to purchase items for The Well in Spring Hill.  I have assisted families put together a food budget, some with couponing only, others with organizing their grocery list to better stock during sales, and still others with a full-blown household budget.  I see what you need and help with that need.  The priority is to save you money so you can get ahead, pay off bills, help someone else, etc.
